The Nuggets are looking to bounce back after the Golden State Warriors blew them away on Friday night. They are fortunate enough to be playing one of the worst teams in the league, the Houston Rockets, on Saturday
Let’s take a deep dive into the different markets out there for Colorado sports bettors in our Nuggets vs. Rockets betting preview, complete with the best odds, picks, and predictions.
Nuggets vs. Rockets Betting Preview
For whatever reason, the Warriors have Denver’s number this year. The Nuggets have won 12 of their last 15 with two of those losses coming against the Warriors. They have a chance to right the ship on Saturday. Nikola Jokic was relatively quiet against Golden State. We don’t expect that to last long.
The Rockets are in the midst of a brutal season. Houston cratered after the James Harden trade and they currently own the worst record in the NBA.

Bets We Like With A Nuggets Win
Nikola Jokic Over 45.5 Points+Rebounds+Assists (-115)
Take this one to the bank. Jokic only combined for 28 points, rebounds, and assists in last night’s loss. The Rockets have the unfortunate assignment of trying to slow down an MVP who is out for blood.
Jokic has dominated Houston twice already this season. In the first meeting, Jokic dropped a triple-double with an eye-popping 18 assists. He also put up 29 points, 16 rebounds, and seven assists in a win over the Rockets just over a week ago.
Whether it’s with his scoring or as a facilitator, we expect to see Jokic stuff the stat sheet on Saturday.

Bets We Like With A Rockets Win
Michael Porter Jr. Under 21.5 Points (-125)
If you think the Rockets have a chance to beat the Nuggets, fade Michael Porter Jr.’s point total. Win or lose, Jokic is going to put up his stats, but he can’t win games on his own. Porter is Denver’s No. 2 option on offense in the wake of Jamal Murray’s injury.
With all that said, the Rockets can slow down this potent Nuggets attack by taking Porter out of the game. If they can hold him to under 20 points, the Nuggets won’t have enough scoring to cover the spread, at the very least. Porter has been hot lately, but there is no guarantee that continues on the second night of a back-to-back.

Nuggets vs. Rockets Prediction, Pick
We love the Nuggets to win this game outright, but they are laying too many points for us to take them on the spread. Stick with some of the player props if you want to avoid betting this on the spread line. For those of you who want to bet the spread, take the Rockets with the points.
Pick: Rockets +14
