In front 30,000 fans celebrating Independence Day, the Denver Outlaws (7-4) extended its winning streak to six with a 25-11 victory over the Boston Cannons (3-8) Wednesday night.
“It was awesome, it was an incredible experience” Outlaws attackman Mikie Schlosser said. “I play with a bunch of awesome guys, great coaches, and it is just a lot of fun to just play with this group”.
Eight Outlaws had at least three points in the victory. Attackman Eric Law led the way with four points (two goals, two assists) to push his scoring streak to seven consecutive games.
First-year attackman Chris Cloutier continued to show why he is an ideal candidate for Rookie of the Year, notching nine points (six goals, three assists) in the victory, which brings his season total to 35 points in only five games played.

Faceoff specialist Max Adler had a memorable night of his own, winning 28-of-29 faceoffs (71.8 percent) against former Pioneer and the first overall pick in the 2018 Collegiate Draft Trevor Baptiste.

It did not take long for the Outlaws to catch fire, as Outlaws veteran attackman Drew Snider scored first to begin a three-goal scoring run to get off to a quick 3-0 lead over the struggling Cannons. In response, the Cannons scored a couple of goals in the first quarter, but the Outlaws quickly rebounded with three goals of their own to escape the quarter with the 6-3 lead.
Following the first quarter, the Outlaws took full control of the game by going on a five-goal scoring run. Allowing one goal against before the end of the second quarter, the Outlaws headed into halftime with the firm 11-4 lead.
The two teams would exchange three goal scoring runs in the third quarter before the Outlaws responded with a four-goal run to close out the quarter to give the Outlaws the 18-7 advantage.
Heading into the final quarter with all of the momentum, Cloutier stole the show for the Outlaws with five goals to help his team run away with the landslide victory over a struggling Boston team.

What is next for the Outlaws?
The Outlaws will have a well-deserved bye week before taking on the surging Dallas Rattlers (8-2) on Sunday, July 22nd for the final home game of the regular season for a possible playoff preview matchup.
” I think we just need to continue to be positive, and just stay consistent,” Schlosser said in regards to their next game against the first place Rattlers, “We have done a really good job at just being consistent and playing our butts off every game. Communication has probably been the strongest thing that has helped us be successful.”
