Von Miller and Paxton Lynch went to the podium after their seventh straight Denver Broncos loss to the Oakland Raiders, 21-14 to address the media.
On Miller’s mind was the defensive play, and the little details that the team seemingly can’t get a hold of. “It’s just little situations and little moments like that that we’ve been failing all season,” Miller said. “It’s been that. All season long. Every game. It’s just a tough deal right now.”
Miller also spoke about the fight between good friends Michael Crabtree and his teammate, Aqib Talib. “I know both of those guys extremely well. ‘Crab’ (Crabtree) is like an older brother to me. ‘Leeb’ (Talib) is like an older brother to me… it’s unfortunate that we have that.”
Frustrations about the losing season have certainly taken a toll on Miller, who says he’s disappointed because he can’t show off in his prime, the way he’d like to. “It is the losses. It’s just where I am in my career right now,” Miller said. “I feel like this is the best shape I’ve been in. I feel like this is the smartest I’ve been. I feel like I’m on-top of my game like I’ve never been before… I just want an opportunity to prove that. That’s the frustrating part.”
As for Lynch, the game didn’t go exactly according to plan, as he had to leave in the second half due to injury, but overall, Lynch thought he played pretty well. “I thought I played pretty well,” Lynch said. “There’s some plays that I had the opportunity to make that I made, and then there were some plays that I just missed.”
