The Denver Broncos bounced back from their Week 1 loss with a signature fourth-quarter comeback. While the offense got off to a slow start, Bo Nix showed flashes of his 2025 form and ultimately led Denver to a 20-13 victory. There was noticeable improvement on both sides of the ball, giving the Broncos plenty of positives to build on heading into Week 3.

Pro Football Focus (PFF) has released its Week 2 player grades, offering a closer look at Denver’s best and worst individual performances from the loss.

Offense

Best Players

After a quiet 2-yard performance in Week 1, Waddle came out hot in Week 2. He hauled in eight receptions for 138 yards, including a 49-yard catch. It was exactly the kind of performance Broncos Country hoped to see when Denver traded for him in the offseason. The explosiveness and big-play threat Waddle brings to the receiving corps is exactly what the Broncos were missing last season.

Worst Players

Unlike Week 1, there were no glaring duds on the offensive side of the ball. Unfortunately, Dobbins suffered a hamstring injury and was forced to leave the game. Rookie Coleman’s grade was largely dragged down by an abysmal 9.8 pass-blocking grade, though he earned respectable marks as a runner (62.8) and receiver (67.6).

Defense

Best Players

It was a bounce-back week for Singleton, who drew plenty of criticism from the national media following his Week 1 performance. According to PFF, he recorded a team-high nine total tackles in Week 2 without missing a single tackle. Singleton now leads the Broncos with 25 total tackles through two weeks.

Worst Players

Denver’s defense held the Jaguars to just 13 points and, thankfully, seemed to remember how to tackle. After missing 28 tackles in Week 1, the Broncos missed just seven in Week 2. According to PFF, Brandon Jones allowed three receptions on three targets for 54 yards, the most receiving yards allowed by any Broncos defender.

Special Teams

The Broncos hope their victory over the Jaguars can carry some momentum into Week 3 as they face the Los Angeles Rams, who looked impressive in their Monday night victory. Kickoff is set for Sunday night at 6:15 p.m. MST.
