To quote Dominic Toretto, “It don’t matter if you win by an inch or a mile—winning’s winning.” The Denver Broncos may not have delivered a highlight-reel performance in London, but they got the job done and came away with the win. Pro Football Focus (PFF) released its Week 6 player grades, highlighting the best and worst individual performances.

Offense

Best offensive players

With the Broncos winning by the slimmest of margins, a single Nix turnover could have easily swung the outcome. His stat line — 174 passing yards, one touchdown, and 24 rushing yards — won’t turn heads, but he managed the game effectively and did what was needed to secure the victory. His chemistry with offseason addition Engram finally clicked, as Engram caught five passes for 42 yards, including a pivotal 11-yard grab on 4th-and-5 that set up Adkins’ touchdown.

Worst offensive players

Ben Powers’ absence was felt heavily, as his replacement, Peart, struggled and was flagged for three penalties. His performance contributed to the team’s worst rushing output of the season — just 78 total yards, with Dobbins limited to a season-low 40. To make matters worse, it was announced Tuesday that Peart has also been placed on injured reserve with a with knee injury that – it should be noted – Peart apparently played through for much of the game.

Defense

Best defensive players

After spending several weeks on the wrong side of these rankings, Singleton delivered his best performance of the season. Per PFF, he recorded five solo tackles, three assists, and no missed tackles. Fellow linebacker Strnad also made a key impact, coming up with a crucial fourth-quarter sack that knocked the Jets way out of field-goal range and helped seal the Broncos’ win.

Worst defensive players

Despite receiving a low grade, Cooper turned in an impressive performance. Per PFF, he recorded three sacks, two tackles, four stops, and six total pressures. His game-sealing sack on Fields on 4th-and-8 secured Denver’s victory — giving him plenty of reason to celebrate.

Special Teams

Robinson made his rookie debut on Sunday. While the publication wasn’t impressed with his defensive showing, they praised his work on special teams, where he logged 17 snaps.

The Denver Broncos return stateside this week to take on the red-hot New York Giants. With the AFC race still wide open, this matchup presents a major opportunity for Denver. The Broncos will be back at home on Sunday, with kickoff scheduled for 2:05 p.m. MST.
