Phillip Lindsay: ‘I’m excited to be able to wear a Denver Bronco logo on my chest’

The running back position is wide open for the Denver Broncos this year. That much was clear when the orange and blue cut C.J. Anderson to save a ton of cash.

Then, Denver drafted two running backs, and also made sure to nab a stellar, in-state back as their first undrafted free agent signing as well.

That was Phillip Lindsay, and if you watched the University of Colorado Buffaloes play the last four years, you saw former South High School standout Phillip Lindsay run all over Pac-12 opponents along with defenses from other conferences.

In an interview with Eric Goodman and Les Shapiro of Mile High Sports AM 1340 | FM 104.7, Lindsay said, “This is my home state, so, I was a Broncos fan,” Phillip Lindsay said. “I had Broncos helmets, jerseys and everything else. I’m excited to be able to wear a Denver Bronco logo on my chest.”

Lindsay grew up a huge fan of Terrell Davis — the Broncos’ latest Hall of Famer — and he’s been living a dream lately since arriving at Dove Valley for minicamp.

“It’s a surreal moment,” Lindsay said of walking through the halls of Dove Valley. “Actually, you’ve got Tom Nalen sitting right here, he was actually one of my coaches in high school. It’s just crazy you get to see what these men have done and sacrifice their body for the organization.”
