Running back Phillip Lindsay is turning heads in his first taste of action in the NFL becoming the first undrafted rookie in NFL history to record at least 100 yards from scrimmage in each of his first two career games.
Lindsay however is a humble man, and says he doesn’t think of the accolades or statistics.
“I don’t even think about it like that. I just think about making plays for my team,” Lindsay said after rushing for 107 yards on 14 carries Sunday. Lindsay spoke to Les Shapiro of Mile High Sports AM 1340 | FM 104.7 about facing the long-time division rival Raiders.
“It definitely is. It’s very cool to be out there, playing in the rivalry.”
“Our coach [Curtis Modkins] told us it’s going to be a rough game. There’s going to be some up’s and down’s. Don’t flinch. This is the NFL,” Lindsay said.
“We got a little taste of it today. We’re young, all the rookies, we don’t know what we’re getting ourselves into. We’re just out there playing ball, having fun. Playing ball, listening to our coaches.”
