The Case Keenum experiment may end a little sooner than anticipated. According to Ian Rapoport, the Denver Broncos and Washington Redskins have been working on a deal for the veteran quarterback. Mike Klis’ report confirms the trade negotiations as well:

Keenum signed a two-year contract with the Broncos last March, but after a disappointing 2018 season, it became clear that the 31-year old didn’t have a future in Denver. As a result, the Broncos agreed to a trade with the Baltimore Ravens for Joe Flacco.

While the trade isn’t finalized, according to Rapoport, both sides are eager to make things work. The Broncos would like to get rid of Keenum’s contract, especially after acquiring Flacco. Meanwhile, the Redskins are desperate to add another quarterback to the roster, with Alex Smith’s future in question.
