After months of talk, reports, nonsense and worry, the deadline is now here. At 2:00 this afternoon, either the Denver Broncos and Von Miller will have come to an agreement on a long-term contract or we’ll get to see whether No. 58’s threats of a holdout have been all bluff or real talk.
According to Jason La Canfora, it looks like reason will prevail.
As we face 4pm deadline for long-term deals for franchise players, Von Miller is on the precipice of a mega-deal. No one else is close

As reported yesterday, the Broncos’ offer to Miller has gone up significantly since we heard last, with over $70 million now guaranteed. Bleacher Report’s Jason Cole says this should do the trick.
Right now, it's about a 98% certainty Von Miller will sign a 6-yr, $114.5M deal with $70M guarantee Friday. But still small chance he won't

A lot of these leaks and reports are no more than positioning from one side or the other, but if that $70 million number is correct, it’s going to be hard to call John Elway the cheap one if Miller fails to sign on — $70 million in guarantees would make Miller the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history, only trailing Andrew Luck overall.
