The Colorado Rockies have reportedly called up their No. 3 prospect, Jeff Hoffman, to start Saturday’s game against the Chicago Cubs.

Hoffman was the centerpiece in the trade that sent franchise shortstop Troy Tulowitzki north of the border to the Toronto Blue Jays.
The Rockies recently placed starter Tyler Chatwood on the disabled list just a few days ago, leaving a void in the Rox rotation for Hoffman to fill.
Hoffman is 6-9 with an ERA of 4.02 in 22 games in the minor league system this year.
