Today, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Broncos head coach Gary Kubiak had spoken with Johnny Manziel as “a potential fit for the team down the line, according to two sources connected to the team.”
Schefter reports that the Broncos wanted to check in on Manziel’s pending legal issues before making any sort of move. And if a move were to be made, whether now or down the line, they’d likely require Manziel to participate in “mandatory counseling and possible clinical work.”
Others, though, have quickly rebutted the speculation that the Broncos have any interest in signing Johnny Football.

#Broncos Kubiak talked to Manziel weeks ago. Has personal relationship through A&M. But team on different path. No interest in signing him

Manziel is undoubtedly a talented young quarterback, but he’s got a long ways to go before he’s ready to step back out onto the football field.
If any franchise were to take a chance on him, though, it would make at least some sense that it be the Denver Broncos.
