The Denver Broncos just dodged a serious blow.
Earlier today, while practicing with the San Francisco 49ers, starting defensive end Derek Wolfe looked to have seriously injured his ankle, as he crumpled to the ground before needing help from a trainer to get back to the locker room.
According to James Palmer of the NFL Network, though, Wolfe’s MRI came back clean, and he looks to be relatively alright.
I’m told MRI on Derek Wolfe came back clean. Injury referred to as “minor". Lucky. DLine just lost Vance Walker (ACL) for the year

That’s a huge break for the Broncos, as losing Wolfe for any extended period of time would have hurt, especially with Vance Walker already out for the year with a torn ACL suffered earlier in the week.
