The New Orleans Pelicans and Oklahoma City Thunder reportedly have interest in Denver Nuggets power forward Kenneth Faried, according to Sam Amico of Amcio hoops.
“Nuggets forward Kenneth Faried is also said to be available, with the Thunder and Pelicans among the teams to express an interest, sources told Amico Hoops.”
So, now that two more teams have entered the Faried discussions, will it go anywhere?
Faried has been on the trading block for roughly two years, but it seems like now, more than ever before, is the time the Nuggets will trade him, due to the amount of depth the team has.
As it stands, Faried is the go-to guy at the power forward position, but with guys like Juancho Hernangomez, Darrell Arthur and Joffrey Lauvergne with defined roles on the squad, it seems that Faried’s role will be a diminished one.
Faried would slide in nicely with both teams if a deal were to materialize. His high-energy play mixed with his team-friendly contract make him a valuable commodity that could step in and impact both team’s right away.
The question, though, is what would the Nuggets get in return?
