The Denver Broncos took a flyer on Phil Taylor when they signed the former Cleveland Brown this offseason. After missing 27 games in the last two seasons, Taylor was clearly an injury risk, but as a one-time first-round selection, the talent was undeniable.
If the Broncos could just get a healthy season out of the defensive lineman, they could end up with one of the biggest steals of the offseason.
That will not be the case.
According to the Denver Broncos, after being helped off the field on Friday, Taylor has been placed on Injured Reserve, ending his season before it could even begin.
In his place, the Broncos have signed defensive end Billy Winn to fill his vacant roster spot.
