Rodgers was the third-overall pick in the 2015 draft and rated by many publications, including Baseball America, as the top prospect in the draft.
The Lake Mary (Fla.) HS shortstop fell to Colorado at three after Arizona and Houston both took shortstops from the college ranks with the first and second picks.
According to Mayo, the pick is valued at $6,223,300 and Rodgers received a $5.5 million signing bonus.
