Colorado Rockies third-baseman Nolan Areando was crowned the National League home run king on Monday, finishing with 38 home runs.
“I feel better. I feel good…I’m going to be ready. I’m going to be ready go to tomorrow,” Arenado told Mile High Sports on Sunday of his swing of late.
Shutout gone, thanks to Nolan. Might that be a spark? 🤨 pic.twitter.com/PNN0sSyzda

For every year that Arenado has sat on-top of the home run numbers for the National League, he’s tied with someone else until this year. In 2016, he tied Chris Carter of Milwaukee for the National League-lead with 41 and in 2015, Arenado belted 42, but once again. Only tied Bryce Harper for the NL league.
“I think every year I’ve won it, I’ve tied. So it’d be cool to win it solo. Anytime you win something in this league it’s pretty cool. There’s a lot of great ballplayers. I would love it.”
Nolan Arenado is heading toward his 3rd HR title and his 6th Gold Glove.
Only 3 players in history have at least 6 Gold Gloves and 3 HR titles. You've heard of them!

Ken Griffey Jr. (10 GG, 4 HR titles)

Arenado finishes one home run ahead of his teammate Trevor Story, who finished with 37 home runs after the duo once again back-to-back against the Dodgers on Monday.
