James Harden had his Game 1. Kawhi Leonard had his Game 2. The Los Angeles Clippers rolled in game 3. Nikola Jokic had his Game 4.
It was only fitting that Jamal Murray had his Game 5. He was special last night in so many important ways, but by far the most important was how he dictated the game with his shotmaking. The Clippers had no answer for him as they tried to contend with Jokic in a variety of different ways. Murray got free, and that cost the Clippers an important Game 5.
On the latest episode of Pickaxe and Roll, Ryan Blackburn breaks down the massive Game 5 win for the Denver Nuggets over the Los Angeles Clippers, led by Jamal Murray’s 43-point performance. It was a tremendous night for Murray who put his stamp on the series in a very impressive way. The Nuggets rallied around his shotmaking, and Nikola Jokic only had to score 13 points while Murray and others dominated.
Ryan breaks down the big win, Murray’s night, Russell Westbrook’s triumphant return, and thoughts on Game 6.
