The Denver Broncos escaped the Baltimore Ravens 19-13 on Sunday thanks to a last second interception in the end zone by new Broncos safety Darian Stewart.
That pick would have never happened, though, if it weren’t for a blunder the play before by Ravens wideout / loudmouth Steve Smith Sr.

The scariest part about that play, which you can see a little better in the photo, is Bradley Roby essentially Rahim Moored the coverage. He whiffed and the ball went over his head, but this time Smith Sr. (and not Jacoby Jones) couldn’t make the play.
After the game, Smith had this to say about the play:
“Ultimately I just have to make that play so hats off to ‘Kubs’ he had those guys ready to play. Coach ‘Harbs’ had us ready to play but we have to execute, particularly me on that last play in the corner; I just have to make that play and that really falls on me. Number one receiver you have to make number one plays and I didn’t. ”
A win is a win is a win and no NFL team should ever apologize for one.
But man, that was close.
