Todd Davis is arguably coming off one his better games as a professional, recording the first interception of his career and his first interception return for a touchdown while collecting a impressive 10 tackles and defending two passes in the Broncos’ Thursday night win over Arizona.
Speaking with Eric Goodman and Les Shapiro of Mile High Sports AM 1340 | FM 104.7, Davis says the big 45-10 win over the Cardinals could lead to something bigger.
“I think this game was a spark and some momentum going forward for the next half of our season,” Davis said. “We’re excited about playing the Chiefs, we have a chip on our shoulder about this game and about this team, so we’re ready to go.”
Making a statement on the field, Davis recorded a 89.8 grade, according to Pro Football Focus, his second game in a row with a grade in the 80’s and his best of the year.
Speaking of statements, Von Miller made a guarantee prior to the Arizona game and Davis made one of his own for next week’s pivotal game against the Chiefs in Kansas City.
“We’re definitely going to win this game, period. We let the last one slip through our fingers, and we’re not going to let it happen again.”
