Colorado Rockies legend Todd Helton is going to the Hall of Fame

 

At long last, a wrong has been righted.

Todd Helton, the longtime first baseman for the Colorado Rockies will be enshrined with the greats in Cooperstown as he was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame on Tuesday.

Helton is regarded as the greatest Rockie of all-time and is just the second longtime Rockie to make it to the Hall, following Larry Walker.

For his career, Helton was a .316 hitter. He hit 369 home runs and drove in 1,406 runs in his career. Helton debuted on the Hall of Fame ballot in 2019 where he got 16.5% of the vote in his first year of eligibility. This year, he clocked in at 79.7% of ballots, well above the 75% threshold needed to punch his ticket into Cooperstown.
