Seattle Kraken forward Andre Burakovsky made his return to Denver on Friday, preparing to take on his former teammates for the first time since winning the Stanley Cup in June.
Burakovsky, 27, is off to a solid start in Seattle, recording a team-leading five points in as many games. Following morning skate, he received his Stanley Cup ring in a private ceremony with a number of his championship teammates and head coach Jared Bednar. Captain and fellow Swede Gabriel Landeskog presented the ring to Burakovsky.
But after the Avs took the ice, a number of those teammates shared their favorite memories of No. 95. Burakovsky spent three seasons in Colorado and was one of the larger personalities in the room leading up to the successful 2022 Stanley Cup championship run.
