The Denver Nuggets announced on Saturday the names of the next group of prospects they’ll host for a pre-draft workout. Among that group is top-20 draft prospect John Collins, of Wake Forest University.
Collins, a 6-foot-10, 235-pound forward, averaged 19.2 points per game for the Demon Deacons as a sophomore in 2016-17. He was Wake Forest’s 15th All-American (first since 2009-10) and the program’s first first-team All-ACC selection since 2004-05. Collins was named the 2016-17 ACC Most Improved Player after improving his scoring average by 11.9 points per game from his freshman season. According to Wake Forest, he led the nation in Player Efficiency Rating in 2016-17.
Draft Express rates Collins the No. 20 overall prospect and projects him as the 18th pick in the Draft. The Nuggets select 13th in the first round, then 49th and 51st overall.
