In the week leading up to the huge Broncos vs. Packers matchup, C.J. Anderson told our Sam Cowhick he was ready to get things back on track.
On eight carries through the midway point of the third quarter, Anderson had amassed 71 yards on the ground for an 8.9 yards per carry average. None of his carries were bigger than this 28-yard scamper, which went for a touchdown.
Not only was it Anderson‘s first touchdown of the year. It also answered a scoring drive by the Packers, part of a 10-0 run that brought them within one score.
No doubt, Anderson had to be relieved when this hole opened up.
THIS is the C.J. Anderson we've been waiting for.
28-yard rushing TD with a jaw-dropping burst to boot. #GBvsDEN https://t.co/wONrkocOFL— NFL (@NFL) November 2, 2015
Anderson ended the night with 101 yards on 14 carries, an impressive 7.4 yards per carry average. Not only was this Hillman’s first touchdown on the year, it was also his first 100-yard game. It looks like the Pro Bowl running back from 2014 might be coming back into form.
