Controversy sounds like a dirty word, but that’s exactly what the Denver Broncos quarterback situation has been, at least amongst the fans.
I can’t speak for Gary Kubiak, maybe he’d been planning on naming Peyton Manning the backup, only to push him back in the game two quarters later, all along, but I can promise you that the fans were not “united in orange” on this one. Even still, with Brock Osweiler dealing with an injured knee and the excitement from Manning’s return running rampant, fans can’t agree.
Sure, a fan can win any argument by saying, “I don’t care what quarterback starts, as long as the Broncos win,” but everybody has an opinion; they’re just too afraid to express it.
But do you know who’s not afraid to express their opinions? Fourth graders!
Fourth graders will speak from the hip; if it’s on their mind, it’s coming out their mouth. So when the Denver Post brought a whole bunch of nine and 10 year olds in to talk about the Broncos quarterback situation, as you can imagine, it was pure gold.
Someone sign those kids to a contract. I’d watch that every Sunday morning.
