If it wasn’t bad enough that the Broncos’ offense was falling apart at the seams, their defense has let their emotions get the best of them once again.

Losing Ward for the rest of the game won’t make a difference, neither did the yardage from the penalty, but a looming suspension might. Ward clearly takes a swing at Jeremy Maclin, which you’d have to think is as bad, if not worse, than Aqib Talib‘s eye poke.
This is just the latest example of how the Broncos defense has let their emotions take over in games. If they can’t get their temper under control, there may be not be much hope going forward. The Broncos can’t afford to shoot themselves in the foot any more.
Here’s what the MHS team and the greater-Denver media had to say about the play…
TJ Ward threw a punch. #Broncos

T.J. Ward ejected for what Gene Steratore calls a "blow to the head."

T.J. Ward had been boiling over, and building up to that, for three-plus quarters.

Broncos frustrated and losing their cool. TJ Ward ejected for punching Maclin. maybe suspended this week. #embarrassing

Broncos in full meltdown right now. Gary Kubiak was supposed to fix this team. This feels McDanielish today. #KCvsDEN

This thuggery is becoming very embarrassing. Just take your loss like a man.
