The Denver Broncos (6-5) will travel to take on the Las Vegas Raiders (2-8) on the road. After coming off of an impressive performance on Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons, the Broncos will look to improve their record to 7-5 with a win against the Raiders.
Denver’s conference record is 2-4 right now, and a win would be huge for them getting one step closer to .500 in that category for backend tiebreaker purposes. The Raiders are coming off a loss to the Miami Dolphins in Week 11 and have struggled on the road and at home this season. The last time the Broncos and Raiders met was in Week 5, where Bo Nix threw for two touchdowns and had one rushing touchdown as Denver ran away 34-18. Since then, Nix has been on a recent tear and has the Broncos offense operating more efficiently.

Key for the Broncos – Keep Bo’ing
Denver Broncos QB Bo Nix is on a bit of a hot streak and is hoping to continue that trend this week against the Raiders. The Broncos offense has to keep things rolling with a balance between the run and pass game the way they have the last handful of weeks. For Denver offensively, sustaining drives is going to be crucial on the road against the Raiders, who are banged up on defense.
Despite the Raiders’ injuries on defense, Maxx Crosby is healthy and has been a boogeyman for the Broncos offense. He had two sacks in the last matchup in Week 5, and the Broncos’ pass protection will need to give Nix time to connect with his receivers.
Defensively, the Broncos must get off the field on third down. Early on in their Week 5 matchup, Raiders’ QB Gardner Minshew used his legs to keep their drive alive on a 3rd and 9 situation, which ultimately resorted in him connecting with Brock Bowers for a downfield touchdown. Denver’s going to have to account for Minshew’s ability to run while also locating where Bowers is.
Matchup to watch for – PS2 vs. Brock Bowers
Patrick Surtain II will likely see coverage time on both Jakobi Meyers and Brock Bowers. Denver’s defense has evolved since their first matchup and has gotten even better, but they’ll have to account for Bowers when he’s in-line, in the slot, and matched up on the outside.
While PS2 will split time between these two targets, Riley Moss and Ja’Quan McMillian will also have to account for Tre Tucker and Meyers in a handful of coverage snaps today.
