Will Nikola Jokic play tonight against the Dallas Mavericks?

Nikola Jokic has missed the last three games for the Denver Nuggets due to “Personal Reasons” but there’s a possibility he plays tonight.

The Nuggets played their entire road trip without the three-time MVP, going 1-2 overall and 1-1 in NBA Cup play. While there are still questions about how much individual players care about the NBA Cup, both matchups were competitive until the end. The Nuggets could have used Jokic in both, but he wasn’t available.

Will he return tonight in Denver’s third of four NBA Cup qualifier games? The Dallas Mavericks are in town, and while Luka Doncic will be out, Kyrie Irving will play. He nearly won the last game against the Nuggets by himself. Will he put together another masterful performance? Or will Christian Braun and Peyton Watson find a way to slow him down?

On the latest episode of Pickaxe and Roll, Ryan Blackburn breaks down tonight’s matchup between the Denver Nuggets and Dallas Mavericks. He discusses the injury to Vlatko Cancar, and he also discusses Luka Doncic and Nikola Jokic potentially missing the game. Can the Nuggets slow down Kyrie Irving?
