August 5, 2017, will be a day of celebration for Colorado State University and the Fort Collins community. Several major events will come together around the much-anticipated first public look inside the new, on-campus multipurpose stadium, highlighted by CSU’s annual Community Open House.

Events are scheduled throughout the day in the vicinity of the stadium. Inside, the Colorado State football team will hold an open practice, presented by Scheels, to allow fans to get their first look at Mike Bobo’s 2017 team and also experience the stadium for the first time. The clear bag policy will be in effect for all fans entering the stadium, and Scheels will distribute 5,000 clear bags at stadium gates. For more information on the clear bag policy, please click here.

The annual Community Open House typically takes place in mid-August before the fall semester begins. This year it will take place earlier than usual and join with the football practice on Sonny Lubick Field to create a campus-wide celebration. Ice cream will be served and inflatables will be set up outside the stadium. Ram Town opens at 10:30 a.m.

Season ticket holders are invited to pick up their tickets at the event and sit in their brand new seats for the first time. Tickets and parking passes will only be released to the name on the account and photo identification is required. All season tickets and parking not picked up on Aug. 5 will be mailed on Monday, Aug. 7.

The Rams Sales Team will be on-site Aug. 5 to allow fans to purchase season tickets, mini plans or single-game tickets for the inaugural season in the new stadium.

Event Details for Saturday, Aug. 5:
10 a.m.–Parking Lots Open
10:30 a.m.–Ram Town Activities on Pitkin Street Begin
11:40 a.m.–Commemorative Brick Dedication
12 p.m.–Stadium Gates Open
1 p.m.–Football Team Practice presented by Scheels

The football practice, presented by Scheels, is free, but requires a ticket for entry. Tickets will be mailed to season ticket holders, matching the seat location(s) of the season tickets they purchased. Additional general admission tickets for the event are available at no cost but will need to be claimed online at www.csurams.com/tickets after July 19 or by visiting the Rams Ticket Office at the Stadium on event day. The ticket office is located on the north side of the stadium.

Parking for August 5 event will be first come, first served, with fans permitted to park in any available lot. While tailgating on game days will be permitted in designated lots, there will not be tailgating allowed for the event on Aug. 5.

The new Ram Zone Official Merchandise Store at the stadium will officially open Aug. 5, and all concessions stands will be in operation to allow fans to experience the amazing new food and beverage offerings in the stadium.

Colorado State will celebrate 125 years since its first season of football throughout the 2017 season. More information on the Community Open House and football practice will be available in the coming weeks.
