Colorado State’s annual Green & Gold spring football game, presented by UCHealth and McDonald’s, will bring Rams football back to campus on Saturday, April 22, and provide the anchor for a fun day of activities for families and all fans to engage with the Rams. Three other Rams teams play on campus that day—soccer, softball and track and field—and all events and parking are free.

SPRING SPORTS FESTIVAL CAMPUS MAP

Colorado State Athletics has created a Spring Sports Festival to enhance fans’ ability to connect with all four teams, and by attending at least part of all four events fans may enter a drawing to win a variety of prizes. Fans are encouraged to park in the following campus lots at no charge: Moby Arena, Lory Student Center, Morgan Library, the Lake Street Garage and the South College Garage. As will be the case when the on-campus stadium opens this fall, parking for events is not permitted in the surrounding neighborhoods.

Fans attending the Green & Gold Game at Colorado State’s on-campus Lagoon Field, may enjoy numerous attractions and food options beginning at 11:30 a.m. Ram Town, featuring inflatables and kid-friendly activities, opens at that time, and McDonald’s will provide free breakfast burritos and other offerings to the first 1,000 fans beginning at 11:30.

Food trucks also will be set up on Meridian Ave., along the west edge of the Lagoon Field. The football team will begin warming up at 12:30, and the scrimmage will begin at 1 p.m. It is expected to conclude by 2:30. Players will remain on the field after the game to sign autographs.

The radio broadcast of the Green & Gold game, on Colorado State flagship station Rock 102.9 FM and Mile High Sports Radio 1340 AM/104.7 FM, begins at 12:45. Voice of the Rams Brian Roth and analyst Mark Driscoll will be joined by Marty Cesario on the sidelines. Head Coach Mike Bobo and Director of Athletics Joe Parker also are scheduled to join the broadcast. Livestream video of the game can be found at www.CSURams.com/videos beginning at 1 p.m.

The Rams Sales Team will be set up at the southwest corner of the field, off the intersection of Meridian and University, for fans wishing to make new season ticket commitments, to learn more about tickets in the new, on-campus stadium, and for existing season ticket holders to meet their sales representative. The stadium will open Aug. 26, 2017, when the Rams host Oregon State. It will be the first official Rams football game played on campus since 1967, when Colorado Field was replaced by Hughes Stadium, three miles west of campus.

The Spring Sports Festival begins at 9 a.m. Saturday when the men’s and women’s track and field teams host the Jack Christiansen Invitational. Field events begin at 9 a.m., running events at 11. The CSU men’s team is ranked 16th in this week’s USTFCCCA national Division I rankings.

All fans can pick up a Spring Sports Festival Passport for free by visiting the marketing table at any of the events, and then receive a specific sticker at each event to document their attendance. Once a passport has been filled with all four stickers, it may be shown at the marketing table at any of the events to be entered into a raffle to win various prizes. Some of the prizes include a CSU sideline pullover, CSU jacket, $100 Under Armour gift card, four tickets for the Oct. 14 Homecoming football game vs. Nevada, four tickets to volleyball’s premier match versus Michigan, a CSU fight song banner and many more. The softball team also will be commemorating Earth Day with a free water bottle giveaway. Following the football game, players will sign autographs on the field.

Ram Field is located just south of Moby Arena, in closest proximity to the Moby Arena parking lot. The Lagoon Field, is situated between the Moby Lot and the Lory Student Center parking lot. Jack Christiansen Track is located just north of the South College Garage.

For the Green and Gold Spring Game, fan seating will be on the west side only, with the team occupying the east sideline. Spectators may sit on the berm that borders the west side of the field, along Meridian Ave., or in the available bleacher seating and behind the end zones. Ram Town will be set up in the area north of the Lagoon Field.
