With one week out from their season opener against the Kansas City Chiefs, the Denver Broncos added veteran safety Taylor Rapp to their practice squad.
Denver Broncos sign veteran safety Taylor Rapp to practice squad
Just a few weeks ago, Taylor Rapp took the field for his first practice with the Denver Broncos before subsequently asking for his release so that he could attend to a personal matter.
Broncos head coach Sean Payton mentioned then that it would be more than likely that Rapp would sign to the team at some point, whenever he was ready and whenever the personal matter he was dealing with gave him further clarity on returning.
Rapp and the Broncos each had mutual interest, and now he’ll be signing to the practice squad, as first reported by Mike Klis. This comes just a few days after Rapp worked out for the Broncos on Friday.
No corresponding roster move has been announced as of yet, but the Broncos will practice here shortly this afternoon and will update this article later.
