With one week out from their season opener against the Kansas City Chiefs, the Denver Broncos added veteran safety Taylor Rapp to their practice squad.

Just a few weeks ago, Taylor Rapp took the field for his first practice with the Denver Broncos before subsequently asking for his release so that he could attend to a personal matter.
Broncos head coach Sean Payton mentioned then that it would be more than likely that Rapp would sign to the team at some point, whenever he was ready and whenever the personal matter he was dealing with gave him further clarity on returning.
Rapp and the Broncos each had mutual interest, and now he’ll be signing to the practice squad, as first reported by Mike Klis. This comes just a few days after Rapp worked out for the Broncos on Friday.
To make room for Rapp on the practice squad, the Broncos waived long snapper Luke Basso, which now leaves Mitchell Fraboni as the only long snapper on the roster.
With Fraboni on the practice squad, the expectation is that he’ll be one of the Broncos gameday elevations on Monday Night Football next week.
