Mat Smith of 5280 Sports Network goes one-on-one with junior cornerback Isaiah Oliver. He is the No. 1 cornerback for the 2017 Buffs in addition to being a two-time All-Pac-12 performer in the decathlon as a member of the CU’s outdoor track team. In fact, as a sophomore in the California Invitational, he posted the highest score by a CU decathlete in 43 years in rolling up 7,331 points in finishing third until topping it at the Pac-12 multis.
Heading into his junior year, Oliver is poised to break out for the Buffaloes. Pro Football Focus ranked him eighth on its list of top-10 players in the Pac-12 returning in 2017. Athlon Sports selected him as a preseason second-team All-Pac-12 performer as a cornerback and to its fourth-team as a punt returner.
