The Colorado Buffaloes lost five of their front seven from a season ago, leaving some big roles to be filled – many by players with little experience. However, defensive end is not one of those positions. Senior defensive end Tim Coleman returns for his final season and has played in 30 games over his career at Colorado, nearly 400 defensive snaps.
Indications are that Coleman is now ready to step up and accept a major role as one of the Buffs’ lead pass rushers. He was the recipient of the Dan Stavely Award, as selected by the coaching staff, for being the most-improved defensive lineman in spring practices.
