The NJCAA D1 World Series eliminates teams by the second day of competition. Today both San Jacinto-North and Delgado Community College got to play each other. The loser sent home as the first team eliminated.
The San Jacinto Gators got things going on the second pitch of the game as Jon Meyer got the pitch he wanted and sent it to the right field parking lot for a solo home run. This wouldn’t be the only offense for the Gators on the day, however, as Austin Boyd batted in three of his own in the game. The offense for the Gators wasn’t done yet as the Gators scored six runs in 7th putting the game into a run rule. San Jacinto won in seven innings 12-3 over Delgado sending the Dolphins home as the first team eliminated.
The Gators not only saw the bats come to life, but their pitching spot on by Aaron Ford. Ford threw six innings of three run baseball pacing them defensively. Ford 123 pitches total striking out 12 batters. San Jacinto tale of two games from game one to game two in the tournament. In game one the Gators had one run, in game two 12 runs and the pitching fooling hitters for the Delgado Dolphins left and right.
San Jacinto plays Dodge City Community College, Kansas. Delgado Community College is eliminated they finish the season 33-15 with two losses at the 2015 NJCAA D1 World Series.
