Pro Football Focus has rated Colorado State’s Michael Gallup the top wideout in the country through the first six weeks of the college football season.
Their “All-American Watch” rating system ranked only three players in all of FBS ahead of the CSU senior.

While PFF uses a proprietary rating system, Gallup’s raw numbers back up the claim.
Gallup ranks second among all FBS receivers with 685 receiving yards, helping propel the Rams to a 4-2 start (2-0 MW). His 46 receptions are tied for fifth in the country with Hawai’i’s John Ursua. Gallup has found the end zone twice so far in 2017.
The Monroe, Ga. product was named a preseason fourth-team All-American by Athlon Sports following a breakout season in 2016. He was also named this offseason to the Biletnikoff Award watch list, the award given to the nation’s top wide receiver.
Gallup played in all 13 games and started 11, recording 76 catches for 1,272 yards and 14 touchdowns for the Rams last year. His 14 receiving touchdowns ranked second in CSU history and eighth in FBS. His 76 receptions and 1,272 receiving yards both rank fifth in CSU single-season history.
While his touchdown numbers are down so far this season, he’s on pace to eclipse his 2016 numbers in both receptions and yards. His 212-yard receiving performance in a victory at Hawai’i this year was just one yard short of a career-high.
Colorado is at home to face Nevada for homecoming on Saturday. Kickoff is at 8:15 p.m. MDT. The game can be seen on ESPN2 and heard on 102.9 in Northern Colorado and AM 1340 | FM 104.7 in the Denver metro area.
