The Broncos have a weekend bye, if you will, this Sunday.
The team escaped Arrowhead Thursday night with a dramatic win and will now have 10 days to wait for their game against Detroit next Sunday night.
But that doesn’t mean there aren’t still some massive games going down this weekend that feature teams from Colorado. College football will take center stage and the lineup is impressive.
With that in mind here are the three games that matter most this weekend in the Colorado sports scene.
No. 3 — CSU-Pueblo vs. Western State 6:00 p.m. (Saturday)

This team deserves more attention than they get, but once again this year’s squad can flat out play. CSU-Pueblo looks to bounce back from a crushing, but not season defining, 31-30 loss at West Texas A&M last week. It’s Band Day too!
No. 2 — Air Force @ No. 4 Michigan State 10:00 a.m. (Saturday)

What a golden opportunity for the Falcons to pull off the upset of the year in college football. Does anyone expect them to go win in East Lansing? Of course not. But this team is sneaky good and will give Sparty all it can handle. Let’s see if they can shock the world.
No. 1 — Rocky Mountain Showdown at Sports Authority Field 5:00 p.m. (Saturday)

Bragging rights for yet another year are on the line and the trash talking has begun and actually has been going on for weeks. But no matter what happens the rest of the way whoever wins this game gets the leg up until the schools meet again. The atmosphere should be just electric.
