Earlier today, we looked at which ex-Denver Broncos could conceivably get a second shot with the team this season, but according to reports, one former Bronco could be grabbing himself a new job as soon as today.
Notable Friday tryout: RB Montee Ball with the Green Bay Packers. The backfield intrigue grows.

Montee Ball, a second-round selection just a few years ago, was released by the Broncos before the start of the season after getting beat out by C.J. Anderson, Ronnie Hillman and Juwan Thompson during training camp. Since then, rumors have continued to swirl around where Ball would end up next, but the NCAA’s all-time leader in rushing touchdowns has remained unemployed for the first 12 weeks of the season.
Given all the running backs that have shuffled through the league so far this year, it’s somewhat surprising that nobody has taken a flyer on Ball, but this news out of Green Bay could lend an explanation to why they’re in the market for a new back:
Eddie Lacy, Alonzo Harris missed curfew Wednesday night, according to two sources. https://t.co/b0A5yTCB6R

Not only is Eddie Lacy seemingly in the doghouse over the missed curfew — he only received five carries on Thursday night — but he’s been fairly ineffective all season, too. Whether that’s because he’s injured, out of shape or some combination of the both, the Packers clearly are looking for a spark in their backfield.
We’ll see if Ball can be that spark.
