The Budweiser Events Center is getting a fresh coat of paint.
Hockey season will be here before you know it.
In the shot above you can see the painters hard at work getting the surface ready to go for the 2015-2016 season. The Colorado Eagles kick things off on October 16 at home against Utah, so obviously the ice has to be ready to go by then.
Here’s the gist: The Eagles started painting the ice on Monday. It takes about nine hours to paint all the lines and logos. Then, they’ll start freezing and whitening it this Sunday morning, wait, and then put more ice on top of it.
The whole thing is quite the process, but man oh man, what a sweet sight it is.
The puck drops for real in just a little more than two weeks.
