Former Broncos wide receiver Brandon Stokley, appearing on Mile High Sports AM 1340 on Wednesday, said the Broncos offensive line is a major concern this year. How big?
“On a scale of one to ten,” Afternoon Drive host Eric Goodman asked the two-time Super Bowl champ, “ten being the highest and one being the lowest, how concerned are you about the makeup of this offensive line right now?”
“I’m going to say a 9.9,” Stokely responded. “I’m very concerned. When you lose Ryan Clady and you haven’t even started hitting yet, now if you lose another guy – if you lose a (Louis) Vasquez or somebody like that – you’re in dire straits. You’re in an emergency.”
Health along the offensive line, Stokley says, has to be the key to training camp and preseason. Given the Broncos depth on the O-line, Stokley believes Denver can’t afford to lose another top-of-the-charts player.
Listen below to the full interview with Stokley, which includes talk about who will be playing in his old position – the slot receiver – for the Broncos this year.
