It wasn’t the big move everyone in Denver was expecting, but the Nuggets have officially moved on from one of their young front-court players.
Denver has traded forward Joffrey Lauvergne to Oklahoma City for two future second-round picks, league sources tell @TheVertical.

Lauvergne, 24, has spent his first two seasons in Denver, starting 16 games, mainly at the center position.
In 2015-16, he averaged 17.6 minutes and put up 7.9 points, 4.9 rebounds and .9 assists per game.
With him leaving, not only does that open up room in Denver’s crowded front court, but it also opens up a roster spot for Axel Toupane or JaKarr Sampson, both of which were on the outside looking in before the trade.
Not to mention, those two second-round picks could prove valuable, especially when Tim Connelly is the one wielding them.
