According to Mike Klis of 9News, first-round pick Paxton Lynch will get his first career start on Sunday when the Denver Broncos take on the Atlanta Falcons.
“Multiple NFL sources, including several player agents, told 9news that Trevor Siemian would not start against the Falcons because of his shoulder injury. However, sources indicated Siemian, the Broncos’ starting quarterback through their first four games, could be on track to start Thursday night against the San Diego Chargers in San Diego’s Qualcomm Stadium.”

While Siemian was able to practice on a limited basis this week, he apparently is not healthy enough to play against the Falcons on Sunday, having suffered a sprained AC joint in his non-throwing shoulder last weekend.
Lynch, who the Broncos traded up into the first round to select this offseason, is believed to be the future at quarterback for Denver. A strong performance could make a decision at quarterback difficult for Gary Kubiak, as the Broncos face a short week with a Thursday night matchup against the Chargers on deck.
