The Denver Broncos earned their sixth win of the season, but that’s not nearly the best news of the day.
Following a horrifying sideline collision with Chargers running back Melvin Gordon, Broncos defensive coordinator Wade Phillips was left laying on his back, trainers surrounding him. After remaining motionless for awhile, Phillips began to move his extremities, but was eventually taken off in a stretcher before being ushered to a nearby hospital for examination.
According to the Broncos, though, all tests came back clear, and “Son of Bum” is expected to make a full, immediate recovery.
Broncos DC Wade Phillips has been released from the hospital. Everything checked out OK & he's expected back at work tomorrow.

Wade Phillips may be 69 years old, but he’s about as tough as they come. Nothing, not even a truck-stick hit from a running back, will keep him off the field for long.
Glad you’re okay, Wade!
