Talk about a hot start to your career. After two starts, Brock Osweiler has earned two victories, an AFC Offensive Player of the Week award and the cover of Sports Illustrated.
It’s hard to imagine things going much better for the Broncos’ young quarterback.

There’s no denying that Osweiler is a huge story. For one, and most importantly, he’s taking over for Peyton Manning, one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history. But most importantly, he’s succeeding.
A few weeks ago, not many people outside of Denver even knew who Brock Osweiler was. Now, he’s the young gun who took down the Patriots and has the Broncos looking like a title contender once again.
Honestly, the only thing going against him right now is the Sports Illustrated cover curse. And I mean, I’m not one for superstitions, but if Osweiler throws two interceptions and loses to the Chargers this weekend, I’m blaming SI.
On the other hand, if he goes off for three touchdowns and buries San Diego’s lost franchise once and for all, then I think there’s no other explantation than that he’s immune to all foes, jinxes and curses.
I can only imagine what honor he’ll win next week.
