I mean, I thought Brock Osweiler had a pretty darn good game, but this is still quite the surprise. Apparently, though, that’s what 250 yards, two touchdowns and a 127.1 quarterback rating gets you.
And the truth is that Osweiler did absolutely everything the Denver Broncos needed of him last Sunday. Not only was he careful with the ball (something we haven’t seen in awhile), but he was brutally efficient, completing 74 percent of his passes, a new team record.
Osweiler is now the eighth Broncos quarterback to ever take home this award. As you might expect, John Elway holds the record for the most, with 15; Peyton Manning trails him with six.
Now, if he can just go ahead and win another one of these babies next week, the Broncos should be in pretty good position.
