On the day that they introduced guard Ronald Leary, the Denver Broncos made another addition to their offensive line as well. On Friday Afternoon, they announced that they had signed offensive tackle Menelik Watson. According to NFL Insider Ian Rapoport, the three-year deal is worth $18.3 million.
Watson comes over from the Oakland Raiders, where he played in 10 games last season . He has primarily played right tackle, and started during the team’s playoff contest against the Houston Texans. Watson missed the 2015 season after suffering a torn Achilles tendon.

With Leary and Watson being the first two signings by the Broncos since free agency opened on Thursday, general manager John Elway has made it clear that his No. 1 offseason priority was upgrading the offensive line.
Originally from Manchester, England, Watson did not start playing competitive football until 2011. Still, the 28-year-old did enough to merit being a second-round selection in the 2013 NFL Draft.
