Change is in the air – the Denver Broncos have a new head coach, new starting quarterback and now some of the players will be rocking new numbers on their jerseys.
On Monday, the Broncos announced that Joe Flacco will continue to wear his traditional No. 5. The number previously belonged to Garrett Grayson, but the backup QB will now be wearing No. 2.
Along with Flacco, cornerback Kareem Jackson will be wearing No. 22 and Bryce Callahan will be No. 29. Offensive tackle Ja’Wuan James will be wearing No. 70.
Aside from the new players, Brendan Langley has changed his jersey number from No. 27 to No. 12 as he continues to convert from cornerback to wide receiver. Cornerback Isaac Yiadom also changed his number from No. 41 to No. 26. And finally, offensive guard Sam Jones will now be wearing No. 77 (formerly No. 70).
