A lot of people in Broncos Country are hoping the Denver Broncos will select local hero Christian McCaffrey in the 2017 NFL Draft. Hold your horses, their need for a receiving option out of the backfield might be filled before they ever hit the podium.
According to Alex Marvez of Sporting News, the Broncos have interest in former San Diego Chargers running back Danny Woodhead.
Danny Woodhead (ACL recovery) far enough along he's expected 2 receive interest from multiple teams including @broncos @sn_nfl has learned

Now, interest doesn’t always equate to signings. As Marvez stated, the Broncos are one of multiple teams interested. He also could be headed to Hollywood, as the Los Angeles Charges did make him an offer.
The 32-year-old Woodhead played in only two games last season, landing on injured reserve after tearing his ACL. The season prior, he caught 80 passes out of the backfield for 755 yards.
Woodhead has experience under Broncos offensive coordinator Mike McCoy, who was his head coach with the Chargers. With Woodhead would come injury concerns however, as he has missed 27 games in the last three seasons.
