Wide receiver Cody Latimer on Friday called these “the dog days of camp.” If that’s the case, fans are doing their best “sit” and “stay,” as they set a single-day training camp attendance record for the second time in a week on Friday.
On Sunday (July 30) fans set a new single-day attendance record at the team’s training facility in Englewood when 6,161 came out to see the first day in full pads. They beat that number on Friday (Aug. 4) – a lighter practice day ahead of Saturday’s intra-squad scrimmage.
According to Broncos EVP of Community and Media Relations Patrick Smyth, an additional 406 fans came out on Friday for a grand total of 6,567 fans on Friday.

With Saturday’s practice scheduled to feature a scrimmage that will be as close to “full contact” football as fans can see ahead of the preseason opener on Aug. 10, there’s a good chance the crowd will be even bigger.
