With the 41st overall selection in the NFL Draft, the Denver Broncos selected Kansas State offensive tackle Dalton Risner. Risner, a 6-foot-5, 308-pound OT, was born in Wiggins, CO., and was a first-team All-American in 2018.

After addressing the offensive line, the Broncos then traded with the Cincinnati Bengals to acquire the No. 42 pick – and selected Missouri quarterback Drew Lock. Lock, a four-year starter and three-time captain, threw for over 12,000 yards and 99 touchdowns in the SEC.

In exchange for the Bengals’ second round pick, the Broncos sent Cincinnati the No. 52 pick, No. 125 pick and No. 182 pick.

Although the move cost the Broncos multiple mid-round picks, it’s clear the Broncos felt Lock was worth the risk in the second round. The Broncos passed on Lock twice in the first round, electing to take Iowa tight end Noah Fant.

As it currently stands, the Broncos will pick one more time, Friday night.

Round 3: 71st-overall pick
