The Denver Broncos have decided to part ways with punter Marquette King. The team originally placed King on injured reserve on Oct. 6.

King missed Sunday’s game against the New York Jets, but in the previous four games, King punted 20 times for a career-low average of 44.1 yards per punt. Monday afternoon, King confirmed to the NFL Network that he had been released.

The eccentric punter then tweeted a thank you message to John Elway and the organization.
